Who are we?
Formed in 1980, Sarcom commenced doing a number of specialist electronic engineering tasks, the most notable being the weather display boards at the Sydney Centrepoint Tower lookout. Early in 1990 the firm moved into providing computer services. It was at this time that Sarcom was aligned with the ministry of Redeemer Baptist Church.

What's in the name?
The name originates with work done by one of the founders, who was instrumental in developing a Search And Rescue Communications system for the Missionary Aviation Fellowship in Papua New Guinea.

Redeemer Baptist Church
All of those who work in Sarcom are members of a Church community of 200 people located in Castle Hill and North Parramatta, west of the city of Sydney. The Church's primary ministry is a School for over 500 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Redeemer Baptist School is in the forefront of the development of Vocational Education-which is an area where Sarcom has active involvement in providing training and work placement.
Castle Hill House
Our operations are based at Castle Hill House, built in the 1840's it was home to one of the leading doctors of Sydney's colonial days. Fire nearly destroyed Castle Hill House in 1989. It subsequently has been faithfully restored, adapted to modern use, by the voluntary work of the members of Redeemer Baptist Church.
